Time is too precious to be wasted on arguments and discontent. Some mistakes can be corrected, but not the mistake of wasting time. When time is gone, it’s gone forever. 

We have to take control of our emotions!

 How many of us let a situation dictate how we react.

 Letting our emotions run quickly can lead to more damage and limits us from maximizing every situation.

SAY IT TWICE FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK.

The biggest key to controlling our emotions is maintaining enthusiasm. But there are a few principles we must use in order to do so.

Enthusiasm is a state of mind. It inspires action and is the most contagious of all emotions. 

Self-Discipline makes you think before you act. 

It is the process that ties together all your efforts of controlling your mind, your personal initiative, positive mental attitude and controlling your enthusiasm.

Your personality is your greatest asset or your greatest liability because it embraces everything you control. Your mind, body and soul. 

Keep your mind on the things you want and off the things you don’t want. Controlled attention is the act of coordinating all the faculties of your mind and directing their combined power to a specific end.

Thoughts have POWER, are under YOUR CONTROL and can be used wisely or unwisely. 

Accurate thinkers are the masters of their emotions. Accurate thought involves two fundamentals:


You must separate facts from information.


You must separate facts into two classes, the important and unimportant.

The sooner you begin to add these to your personality, the greater you will become. Trust me, I have made plenty of mistakes based off of emotional reactions. But, concentrating my efforts on these simple practices is helping me grow daily.

"Show Interest In Others."

“...Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak…” Excerpt from James 1:19 How many people fail at listening? So caught up in our phones that we pay no attention to the human standing in front of us. News Flash! Our phone is replaceable.  Every single part of it. Want to know what it isn’t?  Our family. Our friends. Even the stranger on the train that smells funny. There are 7.8 billion people roaming the planet but only one version of us all! Show interest in others. This has been a struggle for me because sometimes I honestly don’t care to listen to what someone has to say. But, then I’m reminded that when I speak, I like how it feels to know somebody else is listening. *Actively Listening. Take a moment.  Think about how great it feels to talk about good news . Then, consider someone else looking at you like you’re a ghost and ignoring every word.  Stings a bit.  Oh, you don’t care? It doesn’t matter if people listen to you?
